|Leeds school worker had indecent images of children|
A PRIMARY school lunchtime supervisor quit his job after being arrested for downloading pornographic images of children.
A court heard Michael Earnshaw, 70, resigned from his job at Featherbank Primary School, in Horsforth, Leeds, soon after being released by police.
West Yorkshire Police officers went to Earnshaw’s home on May 13 this year and seized a computer after receiving information that indecent images had been accessed from the property.
Bashir Ahmed, prosecuting, said: “It is important to note that, a day or so after being released from the police station, the defendant resigned from the part time job of lunchtime supervisor at Featherbank primary school.”
A total of 136 indecent images and videos were found on the computer. Mr Ahmed said 40 images were at Category A - the most serious level of offending. A further 900 partially deleted images were found.
